New Suzuki Selective Rotation
In addition to our drive-by-wire system (Suzuki Precision Control) and Lean Burn Control System, the DF300AP and DF250AP feature Suzuki’s Selective Rotation feature. In its standard form, the outboard will operate in a regular clockwise rotation, using forward gear. Now, by changing the gearshift mode and adding a counterclockwise propeller, the same outboard motor engine can operate in counterclockwise (counterclockwise) rotation mode. In counterclockwise rotation mode, power is transmitted through the reverse gear, which has been altered to provide the the same as the forward gear. This is the world’s first outboard motor technology.
Using our advanced technology, this V6 outboard motor delivers superior performance. They have dual overhead cam (DOHC) powerheads with four valves per cylinder and sequential multi-point electronic fuel injection. The 55° V block design and offset driveshaft contribute to making it very compact. The DF300AP, DF250AP and DF250 deliver high performance with Variable Valve Timing (VVT), maximizing torque in the low/mid range. The DF250 and DF225 use a multi-stage induction system, which maximizes airflow efficiency for the best performance.

Recognizing the DF300AP as the most innovative outboard introduced over the past year, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) awarded the DF300AP with its prestigious NMMA Innovation Award in 2012, marking an unprecedented seventh win for Suzuki, and following last year’s award with The new DF50A/ 40A, an unprecedented second straight win for Suzuki.
